Dr. J. Robert Oppenheimer (Father of the atomic bomb)
Truly the face of a haunted man.
Gerald (Gerry) Rupp constructed his modernist A-Frame house sometime around 1949 or 1950 in Morro Bay,California. All together, Rupp constructed 10 homes within the surrounding lots, most of which were sold to artists, writers, and musicians. This area quickly became known to local fishermen as “Beatnik Hill.” Their small community was a stopping point for famous beats on their way to Big Sur.
